Our Baristas

A graduate of Jacksonville University with a BA in Communications, Kristi worked in public relations in agency and corporate settings before joining her late husband, Chris, in entrepreneurial endeavors. For 19 years, Kristi contributed in multiple capacities including marketing, client relations, technical/proposal writing, and software development as the small companies grew into national consulting firms. A mother of three, Kristi has experienced the challenges of balancing career and family, and believes strongly in the importance of serving the community through volunteerism. As the "mom" barista, she is excited to see this small business carry into the next generation.

A current honors student at Jacksonville University, Samuel is studying finance and accounting while playing on the Division 1 Mens' Golf Team. With entrepreneurial aspirations for his future, Sam serves the younger generation by volunteering as a youth leader in his church. In whatever free time he finds, you can find him working the espresso bar as our precision barista!

Emily is a BSN nursing student at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. A Division 1 golfer for the Bulldogs, she juggles a rigorous academic schedule with golf and serving in her church. Emily works at Southern Grounds, a wonderful coffee shop in the Beaches Town Center, when home from college.  When working the espresso bar, she strives for latte art perfection as our artistic barista!

John is a high school student who plays three team sports.  When he can be coaxed to help with the family business, he serves coffees with big smiles.  He is our comic barista!
